DO YOU SMOKE? ARE YOU INTERESTED IN CUTTING DOWN OR QUITTING COMPLETELY?

We are recruiting current smokers to participate in research to investigate the effects of alternative, drug-free treatments on smoking.

If you decide to take part in this study, we will ask you to complete a brief online questionnaire asking about yourself, about your attention and self-awareness levels, and about your smoking behaviour. The questionnaire will take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete. After completion of the questionnaire you will be randomised to receive free access to one of two treatment methods, which we will ask you to use for 30 days. You may or may not want to stop smoking while trying the free treatment. At the end of this time we will get in touch with you via email and ask you to complete another short questionnaire similar to the first one.

To take part in this study you must:

  • Be over the age of 18
  • Be a regular smoker
  • Have everyday internet access
  • Be willing to provide your email address

We appreciate that taking part in this study will take up your time. For this reason you will be entered into a price draw to win £100 worth Amazon vouchers after you have completed the follow-up questionnaire.

If you would like to take part in the study, please click the 'next' button below to complete the first questionnaire. Once you have completed the questionnaire, we will get in touch with information about how to start the treatment method you have been allocated.

This study has received UCL ethical approval (No.: 5389/001). Data will be collected and stored in accordance with Data Protection Act 1998. Please not that all data are anonymised and will not be linked to your email address.>
