BackupAssist - Installation Features |
Improving BackupAssist Installation
We make some choices when BackupAssist is installed on a new system. Some people have asked that we change the way the installation process works. But before doing so, we thought we'd ask you, our customers, resellers and distributors, what you want.
THE ISSUE
By default when BackupAssist is installed, it's only made available to the user with administrator privileges who is running the install. We do it this way because we feel it's the more secure option. This also helps to keep the installation process short and simple.
Some of you have asked that either by default, or by choice, we give you the option to install BackupAssist so that it's available to all users on the computer. Less secure, but in some circumstances a more appropriate option.
So what do you think?
