RDA BIBCO Webinar Registration: March 2013 |
Registering for RDA BIBCO Webinars beginning March 4, 2013
Greetings! This survey allows active BIBCO partners to register for the March 2013 live online RDA BIBCO Webinars 1-4. It is intended for participants who have completed RDA NACO training/review and have begun or completed online RDA descriptive training.
Please register for the March sessions by Wednesday, February 20, 2013.
Recommended Training Sequence:
1. Complete the online PCC-approved LC descriptive RDA Training Modules 1-4, on the Catalogers Learning Workshop site as "bridge" training, including the exercises and tests (http://www.loc.gov/catworkshop/RDA%20training%20materials/LC%20RDA%20Training/LC%20RDA%20course%20table.html)
2. Examine the RDA BIBCO Standard Record (BSR) for Textual Monographs on the BIBCO web site (January 2013 or latest version; http://www.loc.gov/aba/pcc/scs/documents/PCC-RDA-BSR.pdf)
3. Register via survey for corresponding live webinars (60-90 minutes, RDA and PCC policy, your questions and the webinar leaders' answers, and examples)
4. Send questions on the appropriate module to BIBCOMAIL@LOC.GOV a few days in advance of any webinar, with a copy to the BIBCO Coordinator, cast@loc.gov.
5. Participate in live webinars (optionally, view recorded versions online at: http://login.icohere.com/public/topics.cfm?cseq=1190&mkey=public1190).
6. Begin/continue cataloging in RDA and undergo review by experienced RDA BIBCO catalogers, as determined in consultation with BIBCO Coordinator
RDA BIBCO Webinar 1 will begin with content in the LC Module 1, and additional webinars will cover the remaining Modules 2, 3, and 4. Planned webinar dates for March:
