Dear Sector stakeholder and participant
If you use analytical tools and measures in the transaction of wine grapes from the vineyard to the winery, your views and feedback are essential.
The three organisations behind the survey, The Australian Wine Research Institute (AWRI), The National Measurement Institute (NMI) and Wine Grape Growers of Australia (WGGA), are committed to ensuring the quality of wine grape measurements and aim to conduct this survey to better understand the processes involved and how quality measures are used.
The AWRI and WGGA are interested in understanding the existing procedures and behaviours in the vineyard and at the weighbridge. The NMI hopes to gain a better understanding of the quality measurements used to determine the payments made to grape suppliers.
Your responses will help identify the quality parameters which are currently used in the grape and wine industry and the instruments used to assess such parameters. The results of this survey will assist in determining potential gaps of knowledge, optimising the existing suite of analytical tools and highlight processes which can be further improved.
Any information collected by us, will be used solely for the above purpose and we will not provide your personal information to any other person for any reason. The results of this survey will be reported ‘in aggregate’. The identity of individual respondents and their individual responses will remain confidential. Furthermore, you will not be contacted by any companies mentioned in the survey as a result of your participation unless you have indicated your interest in this by providing your contact details.
We encourage you to participate in this survey although your response to this survey is voluntary. The anticipated time to complete the survey is 10-15 minutes, and it would be appreciated if you could provide your responses by 16 June 2012.
