Introduction
The Wavendon Neighbourhood Plan is about the use and development of land within the parish. The Plan will be written by the Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group to help influence how the parish evolves over the next 15 years, but it will be based on your views.
The Neighbourhood Plan relates to the whole parish of Wavendon, but we are not seeking your views about land in the north of the parish, which is known as the Strategic Land Allocation (SLA). This is because the development of this area is already underway and Milton Keynes Council is dealing with it through the planning process. This area is shown in the enclosed plan.
Wavendon Parish is expected to meet local housing need beyond the SLA through its Neighbourhood Plan. This Plan will set out preferred sites for new development, what kind of development this should be, and what infrastructure and facilities are needed to make Wavendon Parish a better place to live and work.
There are 6 objectives of the Neighbourhood Plan, which are currently in draft form only. These can be found at the top of each section of this questionnaire. To inform the policies that will be contained in the Plan, we are gathering opinions from households and businesses in the parish and we hope as many as possible of you will respond. This will ensure that the Plan is based on a proper understanding of the area and of the views, wants and needs of local people and businesses.
Please spend a little time answering the following questions to make sure that you have your say in the future of Wavendon Parish. At a later stage every resident on the electoral register will be asked to vote on the finished Neighbourhood Plan.
