Thank you for your participation in this study on Academic Quality. It is being conducted by Christopher Heffner, under the supervision of Dr. Garvey House, as part of the requirements for the Ph.D. degree at Capella University.
The purpose of this study is to gather information from current college students, aged 18 and over, regarding their perception of their college or university. The results may be published in whole or in part or may be combined with other studies in order to gain a better understanding of the needs of today’s college students. Your participation is voluntary and anonymous. You are free to skip any item or to end your participation altogether by closing the browser window or navigating to another web page. Your responses will be saved only if you click the ‘Done’ button at the end of the survey.
Your participation is important since this study could potentially lead to better program offerings, improved academic quality, and increased student satisfaction in U.S. and international colleges and universities. The time required to complete all of the items in the study is approximately 5 minutes. There are no foreseen risks but if you have questions now or at any time during your participation in this study, you can contact the researcher or the researcher’s supervisor using the email addresses provided below.
This study has been reviewed by the Institutional Review Board (IRB) at Capella University. The primary responsibility of the IRB is to assure that the study adheres to all ethical guidelines set forth by Capella University and accepted standards in the field by reviewing all of its methodology and procedures. This study passed the IRB review on February 22, 2011.
