At Terrence Higgins Trust we are developing our new Strategic Plan. The plan, when finalised, will provide the overall direction for our work from 2012 to 2015.
Our vision, mission and values will remain the same: we will continue to work towards a world where people with HIV live healthy lives free from prejudice and discrimination, and good sexual health is a right and reality for all.
We want to hear from as many people and organisations that share our vision as possible. Your experience and views will help us shape the Strategic Plan and identify areas of work to prioritise. This is particularly important as we think the next few years will be characterised by:
• the number of people with HIV rising from 100,000 in 2012 to 120,000 in 2015
• increasing levels of poverty for some people with HIV due to changes to the benefits system
• increasing numbers of older people with HIV
• continuing high levels of sexually transmitted infections, particularly among young people
• major developments in the ways to prevent HIV and deliver sexual health promotion campaigns
• radical change in the commissioning of HIV & sexual health services
• a reduction in the level of funding for these services
