Healthy Workplace 2014
Dear Washtenaw County Business Owner,
In conjunction with National Public Health Week 2014, (“Public Health: Start Here” www.nphw.org)
Washtenaw County Public Health Department will recognize both large and small businesses that are investing in a healthier workplace for their employees by presenting Healthy Workplace Awards. These Awards will recognize Washtenaw County businesses that are assisting their employees in reducing unhealthy behaviors that can lead to chronic disease through the implementation of workplace wellness programs.
The theme of this year’s observance is “Public Health: Start Here” and includes a focus on prevention
as a national priority as part of the Affordable Care Act (ACA). The ACA establishes the Prevention & Public Health Fund, which provides funding for state and local prevention efforts, including grants for worksite wellness.
Awards to Washtenaw County employers will be presented during National Public Health Week
(April 7-13, 2014).
To be considered for a Healthy Workplace Award for your business, please complete the Healthy Workplace Assessment on the following pages. The survey should take no more than ten to fifteen minutes to complete.
