Host a Junior World Championship Team - The Future Stars of World Rugby

New Zealand Rugby, the International Rugby Board (IRB) and participating nations in the IRB Junior World Championship (JWC2014) are providing schools, clubs and community groups in the Auckland region with an opportunity to host a national Under 20 side between 2 June and 20 June.

Applications are being accepted from groups interested in hosting a visit from a participating nation to promote positive community activity which may include:
• Rugby or sport participation (eg skill and drills) at clubs or schools
• General meet and greet opportunities at hospitals, charitable groups, retirement homes etc
• Worksite or workplace visits
• General involvement in community or youth activity

* 1. About the visits (terms and conditions)

• Visits are expected to last up to two hours including travel time for the team (at either 10.00am-12.00pm or 2.00pm-4.00pm).
• Due to travel restrictions, applications will only be accepted from the greater Auckland region.
• Confirmation of visiting team, time of visit and other details will be provided to successful applicants.
• Visits are expected to involve approximately 13 players and at least one team management member. In some cases more of the squad may attend.
• Visits must not be used for commercial or political advantage but may be used to promote the work of the group, school, club or charity.
• Applicants must identify how a visit would be promoted or used, including through traditional media and social media.
• The JWC 2014 Legacy Committee of representatives from the IRB, NZR, Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development Limited and New Zealand Major Events will review all applications.
• The decisions of the JWC 2014 Legacy Committee are final.
