Thank you for taking the time to complete this important survey.
There are 45 questions, but the vast majority require quick, tick-box style answers. We anticipate that it should take no more than 20 minutes to complete the survey. It will provide us with valuable information that will help make a case for investing in the third sector here in Fife.
At Fife Voluntary Action (FVA) we are deeply concerned about the increasing financial pressures being faced by many third sector organisations. We're keen to better understand some of these pressures and the likely impact on service users and our communities.
These concerns are shared by Fife's Third Sector Strategy Group who are supporting this survey and will join with us in presenting the results of the survey to key stakeholders.
The information you give us will be treated confidentially and will only be used in a summarised way or anonymised way - it will not be attributed to you or your organisation unless you specifically grant us permission to do so.
We know that our public sector partners face difficult choices about how they use their budgets, families are under increasing financial strain and that various forms of income and financial reserves within organisations are diminishing.
We suspect that most organisations are also facing increasing demand for their services, compounding the problems and adding to the pressure on organisations.
We know that hard-pressed staff, volunteers and committee members are working hard to serve, support and protect service users, many of whom are some of the most vulnerable people in society.
By telling us a bit more about the funding pressures you face, we can collate this information and present case studies and impact assessments to policy makers and budget holders here in Fife and beyond. We will also use this information to inform and shape the services we provide here at FVA.
We'll be doing everything we can to ensure our public sector partners continue to invest in the crucial, high quality work being delivered by the many hundreds of third sector organisations across every community in Fife.
