Call for interest

Creative Spaces is a new initiative from the Culture Team at Aberdeen City Council to support the development of affordable spaces for Creative Industries practitioners. For year one of the programme we are looking to support the piloting of up to two independently run spaces in Aberdeen.

Through the findings of Aberdeen Cultural Assets Mapping report and the draft RGU EKOS North East Creative Industries research, provision of spaces for creative practitioners to work was identified as a key area for the sustainability and growth of the city’s creative and cultural sector. The creation of new studio, rehearsal and production space is recognised as an opportunity to build on our graduate retention, creative industry employment and the city’s support of existing and future cultural production.

We are looking to gather information on the needs of creative practitioners as well as identify individuals and groups who would be interested in participating in the Creative Spaces programme.

The survey should take no more than ten minutes to complete.
