Salem County Fair Open Class Home Economics Registration

You can pre-register to participate in the Open Class Home Economics show at the Salem County Fair. By pre-registering, your entry forms will be printed and waiting for you when you drop off your items at the Salem County Fair at the Home Economics building on:

Sunday, August 2 - 2:00-6:00 p.m.
Monday, August 3 - 9:00 a.m.-Noon and 4:00 and 8:00 p.m.

Pre-registration must be completed by Saturday, August 1.

All classes are open to anyone - men, women and children. There are four categories of participation as described below.

  • Children - Anyone 15 years and younger.
  • Non-Professional Category - Anyone not fitting the Professional Category and over 15 years of age.
  • Professional Category - A professional creates and sells a craft for profit. A business card may be displayed with the exhibit. Exhibits may not be sold at the fair.
  • Silver Stars – Anyone 65 and older.
