Welcome to the Board Ready Diversity Scholarship Program, jointly funded by the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Australian Government Office for Women. The program is aimed at providing talented women with the opportunity to undertake world class governance education to enhance their directorship knowledge and to promote an increased representation of women on boards and in senior leadership roles.

This scholarship program will award:
• 70 full fee scholarships to women to undertake the either the Company Directors Course or Mastering the Boardroom Program;
• 12 months complimentary membership of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Each scholarship is valued at approximately A$10,000 and must be undertaken before the 30th June 2016.

It is generally expected that candidates undertaking the Company Directors Course should have gained substantial experience and have the skills and qualifications as a:
• Member of a board or committee (including listed, not for profit, private or government); or
• Senior executive with at least 3 years' experience reporting to CEO or senior executive team; or
• Senior advisor to boards, CEO’s or divisional directors; or
• Senior member of government; or
• Senior academic (experience providing advice to government or boards or as a member of a board or committee); or
• Private business owner or entrepreneur managing a significant private business.

It is generally expected that candidates undertaking the Mastering the Boardroom program should have at least the skills qualifications and experience outlined above for Company Directors Course and will also have:
• previously completed the Company Directors Course with at least 18 months post completion and:
• have a minimum of three years director experience

The application will take approximately 30-45 minutes to complete. You can return to previous questions or amend your answers before submitting your application. Applicant information will be collected via an on-line survey database (Survey Monkey) on behalf of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
