Intro & Waste

Transition Initiatives are an emerging and evolving approach to community-level sustainability They began in England in 2005 and have since spread rapidly around the world.

Transition Town Guildford is an initiative aimed at addressing the question “How do we significantly increase resilience (to mitigate the effects of Peak Oil) and drastically reduce carbon emissions (to mitigate the effects of Climate Change)?” For more information see our website www.transitiontownguildford.com

Within transition towns, groups form to address specific areas, such as waste, energy or food production (e.g. TTG Kitchen Gardens Society). Below is a brief survey aimed at identifying where we could improve on waste management and recycling. The results of this survey will help direct the focus of the Transition waste group.

It takes less than 5 minutes to complete. We would love to have your input!
