The Recorder’s 2014 Corporate Practices of the Year is an ALM Signature Event aimed at recognizing the best transactional work done in 2013 by California-based teams in six categories:
• Best overall corporate practice
• Capital Markets
• Venture Capital
• Emerging Companies
To enter, complete this brief online questionnaire by March 7. There's a section for each of the six categories; fill out the section to be considered in that category. The questionnaire asks you to identify three engagements that demonstrate why your practice should be honored as one of the best corporate practices of the year. We want to know why the result obtained was important to your client, what challenges you overcame in delivering that result, and what you did that was extraordinary.
After we’ve reviewed the entries, we’ll notify you if your firm has been selected as a finalist. You’ll then be asked to provide additional details about the practice area and its engagements and identify a lead partner who will be interviewed by The Recorder’s editorial team.
Rules: Open to law firms of all sizes and locations, but only submit for consideration engagements in which the lead or co-lead partner is based in California. Contest period is Jan. 1, 2013 through Dec. 31, 2013; submit only those matters in which the client’s objective was achieved in that time frame. You can nominate the same work in different categories.
