Purpose: This program honors those drivers who operate their vehicles in a safe and responsible manner, have excelled in the DriveCam program and whose contributions have enhanced the overall image of commercial transportation. This competition is a great way to recognize your best and safest drivers.
Application Procedure: Nomination forms must be delivered to DriveCam by the close of business December 31, 2013.
Eligibility Requirements:
• Each eligible DriveCam client may nominate a maximum of one driver
• Your driver must be a full-time employee of your company at the time of nomination, the time of winner selection and the awards presentation (Feb 2014)
• Your driver must have participated in the DriveCam program continuously from Jan 1, 2013 through December 31, 2013
• Sections I - 5 must be completed.
• Nomination forms must have the signatures of the nominated driver and a corporate representative.
Judging Process:
• A Driver of the Year as well as a runner up will be selected from each of the industry categories. Drivers compete with other drivers in the same industry category only.
• A DriveCam panel will review the applicants from each industry group to consider the merits of each candidate based on the submitted information as well as their performance within the DriveCam program.
The Award & Recognition Ceremony
• Results will be finalized by January 24, 2013
• 1st place winners will receive $1000 plus travel expenses for the driver and one guest paid by DriveCam to travel to San Diego. Runners up in each industry will receive $250. Winners from organizations that do not permit monetary awards may elect to have the value of the award donated to their favorite charity.
• Drivers selected as a 2013 DriveCam Driver of the Year will be announced and honored in San Diego at the DriveCam User’s Conference on February 25th, 2014
