NASA is developing software to support the airline dispatcher in their work.  This tool will extract data from FAA and other Internet sources and present it to the dispatcher.  It will also be able to analyze data and answer questions.  You can help with this project by telling us what data you now use and would like to use.  We also would like to know what questions you would like to ask if you had a “digital assistant.”

Question Title

* 1. Please list the five most important types of information you use in your job that you access from the Internet.  Please paste the web site addresses (if available) or other source information for each data item in the field marked "Source" below each item.

Question Title

* 2. Please list the five most important electronic or paper documents or publications that you use in your work.  Some examples might be the FAA Federal Aviation Regulations or the Master Minimum Equipment List.

Question Title

* 3. If you had an intelligent computer program to support you that could answer questions, what are five typical questions you would want to ask of it?  (Example: “Tell me what the weather in the northeast looks like currently,” or “What are my options for an alternate for this flight?”)

Question Title

* 4. Apart from the information you listed in response to Question 1, list the types of information you use, or would like to use, prior to or during a winter storm — regardless of whether you think it is readily available.  Please type your answers onto this page and paste in the web site addresses (if known).

Your answers will not be associated with your name or any personally identifying information.  The results are for internal NASA use, though general findings may be published and publicly available.  If you have any questions, please contact Richard Mogford at richard.mogford@nasa.gov.
Please click the “Done” button when you are finished.
