Strategic Framework for Cycling in Western Australia

BACKGROUND TO THE SURVEY
Westcycle has been commissioned by the Department of Sport & Recreation to develop a Strategic Framework for Cycling in Western Australia. This Framework is expected to guide the future development and coordination of cycling in WA and will also be used to guide future grant funding allocations.
The Framework will encompass all facets of cycling. It is not just about Westcycle. It is about all groups and people associated with developing and supporting cycling in WA: from organisations, to clubs, recreational groups, schools, coaches, officials, event managers, riders and administrators. It will address the needs and challenges faced from the grassroots level up and outline how best to sustain and grow cycling in WA.
Westcycle has engaged Colin Brown to work alongside the staff and board to develop the Framework. We encourage all from the cycling community, regardless of whether you ride for transport, recreation or competition, or even if you don't currently ride a bike, to get involved and have your say through the survey. It should only take 10 minutes to complete.

For those of you who don't know us, we were launched in September 2011 by the Minister of Sport and Recreation as the peak body for cycling in WA. We embrace all forms of cycling and work to bring together the WA cycling community as a unified voice. For more info visit www.westcycle.org.au.
