EDF Energy plans to invest in a multi-billion pound nuclear new build project in Somerset over the next decade.
As part of its procurement strategy for Hinkley Point C, EDF Energy have partnered with the Somerset Chamber of Commerce to identify and support local businesses that want to become part of the supply chain. The focus is to maximise the value of contracts available to Somerset businesses.
One of the routes being considered by a range of companies across the supply chain is to collaborate with “partner” companies to gain complementary capabilities and thereby offer added value to the customer. Somerset suppliers offer value in the mix of local presence and local capability of interest to regional, national or international companies when bidding for the different and sizeable work packages.
To assist these companies to find their local partners or suppliers Somerset Chamber of Commerce has developed this simple registration form. The form aims to capture the specific needs of the collaboration to help identify potential matches within our supplier database.
