You are invited to take part in a research study about your body and your sexual attitudes. Your participation will require approximately 30 to 40 minutes and is completed online at your own computer through SurveyMonkey.com. It is extremely unlikely that participation will cause any risks to you. However, some people may experience embarrassment or discomfort when answering sensitive questions about themselves such as their attitudes and beliefs about sexual literacy, as well as their sexual experiences and behavior. The results from this study will contribute to knowledge about how people feel about their bodies, sexual literacy, and sexual attitudes.
You are eligible to be in the study if you are 18 years of age or older. Taking part in this study is completely voluntary. If you choose to be in the study you can withdraw at any time without adversely affecting your relationship with anyone at Dixie State University. Your responses will be kept strictly confidential, and digital data will be stored in secure computer files. SurveyMonkey.com ensures that survey questions, responses and results are kept in strict confidence and used in compliance with legal requirements. Furthermore, SurveyMonkey ensures that when a user accesses secured areas of their site, Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology protects user information using both server authentication and data encryption, ensuring that user data is safe, secure, and available only to authorized persons.All information you provide to us will be used exclusively for research purposes. Any report of this research that is made available to the public will not include your name or any other individual information by which you could be identified. Individuals’ answers will not be shared with anyone.
