Dear fellow SPJ member,

SPJ is considering a plan that would create affinity groups within the Society that would enable members to interact with one another based upon their particular interests and specialties.

These groups would be less formal than chapters or committees, but would give members a way to
network and discuss their shared professional interests.

Before taking such a step though, the SPJ board is curious to know whether you would be interested in participating in such a group.

So would you please take a moment to glance through the following categories.

Also, please let us know if you would be comfortable were we to share this information with other SPJ members who have indicated the same interests.

IMPORTANT: We are trying to identify the most popular categories. Therefore, please choose the one that is most important to you. This doesn't mean you'd only be able to "join" one group. But we want to see what ones are most popular. If one of the below don't strike your fancy, please add your own in the "Other" question field.

Question Title

* 1. Please choose only ONE option below. If no options fit your area of greatest interest, please indicate another interest area in the comment field below.

Question Title

* 2. Would you be willing to spend $3 per year to help facilitate the interest group that you wish to belong to? (This does not suggest a proposed dues increase - just a theoretical question.)

Question Title

* 3. If we were to form groups based upon this survey, would you be willing to allow us to share your contact information with other members with the same interests?
