Introduction to this survey

Thank you for taking part in this survey. Whipps Cross Maternity would like to improve our service, in particular the process of induction of labour.
Induction of labour is the medical procedure by which we try to start the labour process by either administration of medication (often "Prostin" gel vaginally), artificial rupture of membranes, or by use of an oxytocin drip.
Induction of labour is not most people's ideal situation in pregnancy, but can be offered for a variety of obstetric and medical indications. We wish to make the process as streamlined and user friendly as possible, and for that we would like to hear your views.
This survey would like to focus on your experiences from the time the decision was made to carry out induction of labour, to the onset of active labour (or a decision being made to carry out Caesarean section prior to active labour for whatever reason). "Active labour" is when the cervix is >4cm dilated and you are contracting strongly and regularly.
Please fill in this survey if you have had a baby born at Whipps Cross via induction of labour in the last 2 years.
