Bicycle-Friendly Certification and Bicycle Parking Support Program |
Help us bring better bicycle-friendly infrastructure to Halifax
The Cities & Environment Unit (CEU) at Dalhousie University, in partnership with Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) and Rarebird Brand Strategy & Design, is initiating the development of a “bicycle-friendly certification” program. Businesses, property owners, schools and other organizations that fulfill the program requirements will receive a level of certification based on their degree of support for cycling.
We will also develop a program to support the installation of bike parking on private land for organizations that don’t qualify for HRM’s existing Request a Rack program. This support could be in the form of a subsidy for the racks as well as guidance on siting and installation.
Through this survey you are invited to provide input that will help us design a bicycle-certification and bicycle parking support program that will benefit your organization and the community. We thank you in advance for taking the time to complete the survey. The survey is 12 questions long and should only take five minutes to complete.
