Description

The Drexel Sport Management Sport for Social Change Conference brings together some of the most influential thinkers and leaders who have sought to encourage more humane, inclusionary, and sustainable business practices in the sport industry. Speakers include Sonny Vaccaro, former sport marketing executive and college athlete advocate; Tom Farrey, Emmy award winning ESPN reporter and director of the Aspen Institute Sport and Society Program; and Suzan Shown Harjo (Cheyenne & Holdugee Muscogee), writer, poet, lecturer, curator, and policy advocate and lead plaintiff in Harjo v. Pro Football Inc. The conference is free, however, we are asking people to register so that we can assess facility needs and generate name badges to facilitate networking. This conference is sponsored by the Drexel Sport Management Student Union, the Center for Hospitality and Sport Management, and the Department of Sport Management.
