On the last day of our Annual Conference in Greenville, we all heard a request from Dr. June Atkinson for Churches to be involved with our schools in our State. Already there are groups of Christians who are actively involved with a school in their town or neighborhood. For those acts of love and kindness, we give thanks. As both Annual Conferences move forward to try to respond to needs of children, teachers, and staff in our schools, a Task Force has been assigned as one of its duties to take a snapshot of what is being done by United Methodist Churches in our schools right now.
