Central Table Questions

Question Title

* 1. Thank you all for taking the time to complete this survey. Your input is vital to your union leadership's understanding of the direction we take in bargaining.

This is the first Central Table survey you will be asked to take but as bargaining progresses we may have more specific questions for you so please watch for those and continue your valued participation.

Through your efforts and that of Oregon AFSCME we put an end to step freezes and furlough days, and won wage increases. By saving the state on health-care costs we secured a wage increase months earlier than originally negotiated, all while allowing our members to pay less for their health-care and providing more options to our members.

These victories are due to a coordinated contract campaign that empowered our members at the table. While the economic situation has improved, much of our success depends on strong and well organized Member Action Teams (MAT) and our ability to mobilize a majority of the state workforce.
