Fall Symposium & Open House
Second Annual Event for Alum and Area CRNAs

The Second Annual MTSA Fall Symposium & Open House will be held Thursday, September 4, 2014 on the School’s campus for the CRNA community.

The symposium is provided by MTSA for alumni and other CRNAs with opportunities in a variety of offerings. Participants can engage in a high fidelity “triple A” twenty-minute simulation, participate in the interactive learning lab featuring Advanced Airway, Regional, Ultrasound, and Fiberoptic, and attendees can participate in three different continuing education sessions to gain a total of three (3) credits.

Continuing Education Credits to be offered include:"CRNA’s Management of Acute Pain: Past, Present, and Future" – One (1) hour credit (Presenter – Patrick Moss, CRNA, MS, APN MTSA Director of Collaborative Learning); "Your Money and Your Life: Policy and Economic Factors Shaping CRNA Practice and Reimbursement;" and “Making Your CRNA Voice Heard: Principles of Effective Advocacy that Makes Healthcare Work Better and Cost Less” – a total of two (2) hours of credit (Presenter, Frank Purcell, BS, AANA Senior Director of Federal Governmental Affairs (Washington, D.C. Office)

A buffet dinner will be provided as catered by Maggiano’s of Little Italy during which guests will be able to visit with MTSA faculty. Participants will be able to tour simulation, faculty offices, online learning/heritage room, and more.
