The Association Name
Justification for consideration of Association name change:
• The current name focuses on issues centered on LIS education.
• Replacement of the word ‘education' with the word ‘educators’ would reflect the Association’s focus on a broader range of issues in the field, including both research and teaching.
• Potential for broadening the scope of future ALISE conference themes. (inclusion of research that is not specifically LIS education centered).
Please provide a response and feedback on the issue addressing the Association name.
