Everyone is expected to put in a minimum of three 3-hour shifts but if you want, you can volunteer for even more fun. Set-up Crew: Start your Burning Man experience early. Nothing is better than watching Black Rock City come to life. If you can arrive early we want to talk to you. You would have to be in Reno and ready to help start loading from camp storage at 12:00 noon Thursday, August 27th and we would be on playa Friday August 28th (departing Reno after a quick 9:00 am breakfast). The Set-up Crew is eligible for an early arrival pass, a camp fee discount and potentially for a directed ticket for the event if required. Strike Team: Keep the party going and avoid Exodus! If you are able to stay a bit late we are looking for people to takedown the infrastructure on playa and back into storage in Reno. The intention is to complete teardown by the end of Monday, September 7th and put everything into storage in Reno on Tuesday, September 8th. Like the Set-up Crew, the Strike Team is eligible f Orientation: When people arrive at camp they need someone to greet them, tell them where to park, show them around camp, assign a camping spot, explain how things work, etc. This position would require you to be on playa by Sunday, August 30 or Monday, August 31. Kitchen Patrol: This does not mean you have to clean up the kitchen. The role is to remind people to be courteous to others, clean up after themselves, recycle, reduce trash, etc. Shower Patrol: This does not mean you have to shower. The role is to show people how the shower & greywater system works, regular checks to make sure the greywater containment is not overflowing. Front of House: This year we are stepping up our game and substantially increasing our participation with the community.
