Assistant Professor Peta Stapleton and student researchers Marissa Jacques and Karen Hodgson are conducting research examining the relationship between anxiety, food cravings and alcohol within a university population.

The aim of this research is to better inform the literature about how these behaviours and traits interact. Your participation in this study will guide future research which targets anxiety, food cravings and alcohol consumption.

This project involves the completion of a set of questionnaires concerning anxiety, food cravings and alcohol consumption. Completion time of the questionnaire is approximately 15 minutes. For those participating from within the psychology student pool, this study is worth half a credit point.

Participation in this study is completely voluntary and you may withdraw at any time without risking any negative consequences. If you choose to withdraw your participation in this study, the information you have provided will be immediately destroyed. All the data collected in this study will be treated with complete confidentiality and not made accessible to any person outside the researchers working on this project. The information obtained from you will be dealt with in a manner that ensures you remain anonymous. Data will be stored in a secured location at Bond University for a period of 5 years in accordance with the guidelines set out by the Bond University Human Research Ethics Committee.
