Question Title

* 6. More and more, librarians working with adult users are called on to talk to groups of readers about books and reading. Whether it is to a book discussion group seeking guidance in selecting new authors, a class on crime fiction, or a program through the library's outreach services to seniors, booktalking is no longer solely the responsibility of children's librarians. The ability to articulately and concisely present a program on books is an essential skill for all readers' advisors. This element of public programming is often neglected and should be a part of your readers' advisory experience. Did today's program demonstrate how important this aspect of RA can be for your library?(Please check one)

Question Title

* 7. Simply put--Booktalking is talking about books. It requires a “talker”, a great book, and an audience. Effective booktalking includes the ability to select books that will lend themselves to an engaging talk that will entice your audience into taking their own journey into that book. What have you learned from today's webinar that will help you be more effective in selecting books for your own adventure into booktalking in the future??

Question Title

* 8. According to Chapple Langemack (The Booktalker's Bible), there are as many different styles of booktalks as there are booktalkers. There clearly is no single right way to do it. Quiet, intense, dramatic, or flamboyant--every talker has a different style. Certain presentation skills are involved in booktalking, but it's not so much a performance as a connection. It is about the "talker" sharing with the audience. After today's webinar do you feel better prepared to connect with your audience in this way?
