This survey was developed by Phil Wallace, NC Forest Service, and Kim Livingston, NC Division of Soil and Water Conservation. It will assess the current needs and identify the challenges of landowners who use or would like to use prescribed fire on private lands in North Carolina. The results of this survey will be analyzed by Phil and Kim and shared with agencies and organizations who work with prescribed fire throughout North Carolina. This information will help these organizations develop additional ways to assist landowners in conducting prescribed burns.
This survey is intended for landowners and should not be taken by professionals who manage land or conduct prescribed fire. If you are a professional and would like to share your ideas, please email Phillip.Wallace@ncagr.gov for a copy of the Prescribed Fire Use Survey for Professionals.
