CPSELS Standard 6: A school administrator is an educational leader who promotes the success of all students by understanding, responding to, and influencing the larger political, social, economic, legal, and cultural context.
• Knowledge: the administrator has knowledge and understanding of: school law, political, social, cultural, economic systems undergirding American education, global forces affecting teaching and learning, civic action, values and processes
• Dispositions: the administrator believes in, values and is committed to: education for opportunity and mobility, using the legal system to protect student rights, participating in policy making
• Performances: the administrator facilitates, processes and engages in activities ensuring that: communication occurs within school community and with public on behalf of students and families
