Project Canopy and the Maine Forest Service need your help. Since 1991 the program has provided technical, educational and financial assistance to cities, towns, schools and non-profit organizations throughout Maine for the care and management of your public tree resources. In order to continue this service while meeting your needs, we would like to gather some information from you. The information you provide will help guide us in the coming years, as well as help us show the value of urban and community forestry to our funders. To assist, please forward this survey to your community leader in tree management. Examples include the Tree Warden, Public Works Director or Parks and Recreation Director. We recognize we are asking for a lot of information and you may not have all the answers, however, any information you can provide will be beneficial to the program. Please respond to the survey by August 1, 2015. If you have questions, please contact Jan Santerre at 207-287-4987 or jan.santerre@maine.gov. Thank you for your time and commitment to enhancing public places.
