Question Title

* 3. ENERGY: To be productive and happy, you need a lot of high-octane fuel. This means living life with great enthusiasm, strong desire, and abundant ambition. It also means focusing consistently on a clear sense of mission and purpose. Do you generate this kind of energy on a daily basis? In order to do so, you also need physical vitality. Do you have physical health habits and a lifestyle that leads to ultimate energy? For me, this means: eating for fuel rather than variety/taste or emotional connection, breathing deep, drinking lots of water (less or no caffeine and alcohol), and getting my heart rate up for at least 20 minutes 3x a week. It also includes working regularly to increase flexibility and strength.

How would you rate yourself in these arenas? Are you habitual about enthusiasm/mission and the fitness routines required to create the energy you need?

Question Title

* 4. POSITIVITY: Can you proactively generate positive emotions such as enthusiasm, gratitude, courage, and faith... on command? Do you generally keep yourself in these emotions - as a standard? You don't need to be in these positive emotions every second of every day... but where do you tend to "live" each day? Do you generally keep yourself up? Or do you find yourself complaining a lot, or feeling down, or like you don't have enough resources? Do you see love, happiness, confidence, appreciation, joy, and certainty as VERBS that you "do", not as feelings that happen TO you?

How would you rate yourself in this area? Are you habitual about your emotional mastery?

* 5. ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY: Do you fully understand that you create your environment (not, that IT creates you)? Do you practice careful selection of work projects, business, topics of expertise, spouse, friends, and partners? Are you okay with "firing" unsupportive friends or draining clients in a proactive, deliberate practice of selection? While understanding the value of flexibility, do you consistently refuse to settle for “going with the flow" as a way to avoid wave-making or the risks of responsibility? Do you actively create the environment in which you work and develop systems of support so that you can never be interrupted or pulled off-course by external influences?

How would you rate yourself in this area? Are you habitual about your environmental responsibility?

Question Title

* 6. FOCUS: Can you stay focused on your ONE specialty without heeding distractions? Do you put horse-blinders on when you're working on important projects? Can you easily overcome the "TMI" (Too Much Information) syndrome in the world. For example, do you keep yourself focused by turning off email, instant messaging, texting, TV, etc.? Or do you find yourself often checking email... maybe even first thing in the morning or throughout a task which requires your full concentration? Wanting to be nice and helpful to others, do you often allow others to pull you off course with their agendas, their wants, their needs?

How would you rate yourself in this area? Are you habitual about staying focused on what is important to you?

Question Title

* 7. DECISIVENESS: Are you able to make decisions quickly and with courage? Do you find it easy to decide next steps?

How would you rate yourself in this area? Are you decisive?

Question Title

* 8. “GO FOR IT” SPIRIT OF LEAPING: Can you take action and deliver even when things are "not yet totally ready", when what you have to say or give seems imperfect? Can you tolerate high risk and leap into action NOW... with faith that you're going to be okay. Are you able to take action even in uncertain circumstances? Or, when honest with yourself, would you say that you have a problem with perfectionism?
