By completing this form you are registering your interest in becoming a host venue for Ping! Oxford 2014.
Ping! is a festival of free table tennis that aims to bring communities together through sport and play by placing ping pong tables in various locations across the city.
Our decisions regarding venues for Ping! Oxford this year will be based on:
- Having a good spread of venues across the city.
- Having variety in the types of venues used.
- Using venues that have a high footfall within their community.
- Using enthusiastic and committed venues.
All venues will be fully supported in their delivery of Ping! 2014 with the following:
- Public Liability insurance from Ping! England.
- Supplies of bats and balls for the festival.
- Local marketing and promotional support.
- Ping! Maker volunteers.
In return each venue will be expected to:
- Complete a Risk Assessment.
- Replenish the bats and balls 2-3 times daily.
- Carry out table monitoring as frequently as possible capturing data surrounding numbers of participants.
- Organise an event during the festival to encourage use of the table(s) at your venue.
Last year Ping! Oxford engaged 21,000 people in table tennis over 5 weeks.
We are keen to make this year's festival bigger and better with your help!
