Planning is underway for the 3rd Annual COLLAB NW BOCES-wide Professional Development Day which is scheduled to be held on October 10th, 2014.

This survey is to see if you are interested in being a presenter for a breakout session. This survey will not commit you to participating but will give us an idea of what topics we might be able to offer. We will ask for your commitment in May after the Professional Development Committee has met to discuss the results of this survey.

We will be bringing in CDE and other consultants to lead sessions as well, but having teachers from all our districts sharing their expertise is essential. This survey also asks if you have specific ideas for which CDE Departments and which consultants to pursue.

The theme for the day is: KEEP CALM AND COLLABORATE ON!

You will be compensated for time spent presenting but the amount is not finalized; it will likely be at a similar rate to last year's which was $200 per session. Sessions will likely be 80 minutes long; and you will have the option to present in a double session of 160 minutes. It will once again be at the Steamboat Springs High School and we are expecting about 600 teachers. We will be limiting class-size to 30 teachers.

The format for the day will be similar to last year with three breakout sessions and one session with your content collaboratives (aka: grade level/content/job alike groups). We will be soliciting volunteers to facilitate the content collaborative session as well but not through this survey.

Thank you for considering. With your help, COLLAB will be a great professional development event.

The deadline for responding to this survey is April 18th.
