Program for Emerging Technologies Survey for Petra Solar Test Project

Petra Solar project description

Solar photovoltaic (PV) modules are installed on street light poles along a portion of El Camino Real as part of a six-month pilot project being conducted by the City of Palo Alto Utilities with Petra Systems. The PV modules are connected to the City of Palo Alto Utilities electric grid and will generate clean renewable electricity for our community. At the end of the six month pilot, the modules will be removed.

The City of Palo Alto is seeking your feedback on this pilot project. Your input will be used in the City’s evaluation of the project and to consider a larger scale installation across town.

For any questions, please contact the City of Palo Alto Utility Marketing Services at 650-329-2241, or email utl.innovation@cityofpaloalto.org
