Grant Application Details
Pictou County Bike Week 2014: June 6-15
The Pictou County Active Transportation Committee, with the support of Active Pictou County, is excited to offer 10 grants of up to $100 to community organizations & schools who want to organize an event during Bike Week 2014 that celebrates, promotes, or educates others on the benefits of biking.
Examples of possible activities include:
~Event/Campaign that introduces new people to riding a bike
~Incentives to motivate people to swap their car for a bike for short trips to friends houses, stores and parks
~Events that connect people with their community via bike
~Activities that will change people’s attitude towards biking to school/work
Deadline for applications is May 1st, 2014 at noon.
Successful applicants will be notified by May 5th, 2014 and must agree to submit a brief report after their event to the committee.
