In order to receive a full conference pass you must volunteer for 10 hours or more.

Moderators:

To serve the faculty members before, during and after workshop sessions.

Specifically:

  • Connect with faculty via email prior to conference
  • Arrive at workshop room 20-30 min. early to see room is set and AV equipment is working properly (we do have technical AV on call to help)
  • Greet guests and distribute evaluations, Provide a brief faculty introduction/bio and mention of sponsor, if appropriate
  • Report any problems with AV or air conditioning/heating, lighting
  • Act as timekeeper in the back of the room
  • Collect workshop evaluation forms at end of the session and return to conference office
  • Sign out anyone who leaves early
  • Give miscellaneous announcements as needed.

Registration:

To serve the CLA team at CLA Central

Specifically:

  • Greet and welcome guests.
  • Arrive at CLA Central 10 minutes ahead of your scheduled time.
  • Business Casual dress/ men must wear collared shirts.
  • Help hand out registration packets and direct attendees to key areas at the conference.
  • Being detailed oriented would be helpful
  • Volunteer times still open on Monday, April 13th from 2:30 pm - 9:00 pm and some on Tuesday, April 14 from 6:45am - 7:15pm

Exhibit Hall Greeters:

Greet exhibitors and attendees as they enter Marsalis Hall. Should also check/require to see that badges are worn for entrance.

Tote Bag Volunteers:

We need your help!  We have 1,750 tote bags to stuff with amazing items!  Stuffing party is Sunday, April 12th from 1-6 PM. Parking will be reimbursed.

Men's Breakfast Host:

Thursday, April 16, 6:30-8:00 AM. Host duties include greeting, checking in attendees and ensuring that a/v and event is executed perfectly.

Chairman's Dinner Hosts:

Wednesday, April 15, 6:30 - 9:00 PM.  Greet attendees at the door. Check them off the invited attendance list.  Direct them to reserved seating, if applicable. Hosts sit in the back of the room to greet latecomers.

SWAT Team Volunteers:

Be a part of our onsite Social Media Team!  Use CLA’s hashtag #Outcomes15 as you post on your favorite social media site from the event! Announce to your followers that you’ll be “live tweeting” from the event. Share moments and quotes that inspire or inform by live tweeting keynotes and sessions. Be sure to follow and giving proper credit to speakers on Twitter by mentioning their Twitter handle. Share photos and videos of the event in real time on YouTube, Vine, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, or Pinterest. Monitor the social media conversation surrounding #Outcomes15 and interact with fellow attendees or respond to questions. Re-Tweet content that resonates with you.

We would love to have volunteers greeting attendees in common spaces and helping them navigate the Hyatt Regency Dallas. Volunteers are needed the duration of the conference for 4 hour time slots.
