In order to apply for Fiscal Year (FY) 2014 Section 1003(g) of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) funds, Oregon must provide all Local Education Agencies (LEAs), or districts in the State that are eligible to receive a School Improvement Grant (SIG) with notice and a reasonable opportunity to comment on its waiver request(s). Oregon must also submit any comments received to the U.S. Education Department (USED) with its application. Oregon is applying for one waiver, as described below.
