The Victorian government is establishing Local Area Networks to assist in the co-ordination of service provision and planning in relation to vulnerable children. It is proposed that 17 networks will be established aligning with the DHS boundaries as illustrated in the map above. Our region is the Western region indicated in the map above in dark orange. The region comprises of the following LGA's: Glenelg, Southern Grampians, Moyne, Warrnambool, Corangamite, West Wimmera, Horsham, Northern Grampians, Hindmarsh and Yarriambiack.

Membership of the networks would be made up of senior representatives from Department of Education and Early Childhood Development, Department of Human Services, Department of Health, VicPol, Local Government and Commonwealth agencies. The government is considering how the networks will relate to existing structures such as the LLENs.

Our contract with the department requires each LLEN to consult with its members and partners to provide feedback on how the current functions of the LLEN can support local area networks.

We would therefore appreciate you providing the time to complete this survey comprising of 4 questions which should take you no more than 2 minutes to complete.
