NRC 2014 Annual Awards Nomination

Award Category

Please fill out the questions below for the nominated program / person. The experienced panel of judges will review and score the information, and will not accept additional information, brochures, etc. on the program, so do your best to describe the worthiness of the nominee clearly and succinctly. The completed form is DUE 5pm EASTERN TIME, August 15, 2014. We expect / prefer a representative from the winners to be at the award ceremony at the Resource Recycling Conference September 15-17 in New Orleans. Judges will review the submittals and contact about any follow-up questions between August 16 and September 1; we intend to notify the winners by September 1.

Note that you will need to provide 3 letters of reference in support of the award. We ask for the names in this document; you will have until August 16 to forward PDFs of the letters via email using the instructions at the end of this form.

Bill Heenan Emerging Leader Award - outstanding individual under 35 who has emerged as leader in field

Outstanding Recycling Organization - State or other recycling organization with outstanding growth, programs, leadership, or contribution / impact in the field

Outstanding Business Leadership - for-profit company - awarded to a company showing leadership, innovation, success as model in recycling / diversion

Outstanding Not-for-profit Business Leadership - for a non-profit company showing leadership, innovation, success as model in recycling / diversion

Outstanding Community or Government Program - for program showing innovation, progress, success as model for other public programs

Outstanding Higher Education - exceptional program in recycling or in connecting higher education and the industry (in degrees, tech transfer, career services / links, etc.)
