District Feedback on Building bond

The school district is in the process of planning for the future for the district and community.  The district will be out of Statutory Operating Debt in 2016 and we are looking at what our school district needs to provide the best opportunity for our students and community that we currently do not have.  Please answer the next few questions to help us determine the best steps for the Kimball community.

Question Title

* 1. Due to legislatives changes, our current operating levy does not provide maximum state aid to the school district which means the district is missing out on an additional $65,000 of state aid funding each year that we are not currently getting.  Would you support changing the current operating levy if it could provide an additional $65,000 a year to the district to improve programing and technology for the students?

Question Title

* 2. In order to provide the best opportunities for our students and to provide facilities for growth and innovation that we observed in neighboring districts, we are proposing the following projects: update our metals and woods shop classrooms, update our science classrooms, build a new fitness center that is available to the community with an all purpose room that can be used for aerobics, wrestling, gymnastics as examples, update the track area to make it meet current standards, fix fencing on baseball and softball fields.  Would you support a building bond for these projects if the cost breakdown was reasonable for the community?

Question Title

* 3. After touring local school districts and talking with their administration and staff, we feel that an auditorium/performing arts center would be a huge benefit and asset to our school and community.  Would you support a building bond for this project if the cost breakdown was reasonable for the community?
