We want to know what you think about the possibility of providing freelance advice, training and/or consultancy in your own area of expertise.
This follows a survey of readers of the Benefits and Work newsletter we carried out last month. After listing a number of safeguards, such as checking the identity of advisors, having a choice of payment options and allowing a client feedback system, the first question we asked was:
Do you think a website where freelance welfare rights workers can advertise their professional services is:
A good idea.
A bad idea

We closed the survey when we had collected a thousand responses. The results were: an overwhelming 81% thought it was a good idea, 3.2% thought it was a bad idea, 15.8% were not sure.
What we now want to discover is what level of interest there is amongst professional workers in providing a wide range of freelance services. If there is sufficient interest we will look at the possibility of setting up a pilot project.
The survey below is absolutely confidential, you don’t need to disclose your identity unless you wish to and your answers will not be shared with anyone else. We may publish some results in terms of percentages only.
