NISC Teams
Will you share at least an hour a month to promote, support, advocate and envision the future of senior centers with your colleagues across the country?
Teams meet monthly by conference call or as needed for current projects.

NISC Best Practices Team:
• Connect Senior Center professionals nationally to promote and disseminate new ideas and research.
• Discover and discuss ways to gather, compile and share senior center best practices.
• Review and select winners for Programs of Excellence Awards & NISC Research Award
NISC Diversity Team:
• To enrich NISC Work Groups and Leadership by including individuals that differ from themselves in terms of race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, age, social economic status, religious affiliation, gender and ability and share information with senior centers that supports diversity.
NISC Economic Security Team:
• Connect senior centers with information about economic security and benefits programs, tools to implement programs, and professionals with expertise
NISC Improving Health Team:
• Provide easy access to information and implementation of evidenced based programs
• Review and assessing selected national health related programs
NISC Public Policy Team:
• Educate and engage all senior centers and provide information on long term advocacy issues
• Develop a list of committed senior centers for fast response to pressing advocacy issues on behalf of older adults
NISC Standards and Accreditation Team:
• Build capacity and advance the quality of Senior Centers nationwide through the National Senior Center Standards and National Accreditation Process
NISC State Association Team:
• Support State Associations by providing information & sharing best practices
• Provide access to affordable professional expertise for presentations, conferences, workshops, and trainings.
