Now that you are done with highschool... Question Title * 1. I was thinking about doing the special ROAR thing again this year. Remember? When you had to do nice things for other people, watch movies, read a book, etc to get ROAR marks? What do you think about this idea? DO IT! It was (and still is) a great idea! Yeah, you might want to do it. It was ok. I don't know / care I don't advise it. I do not remember it fondly. NOOOOOOO! That sucked so bad! Question Title * 2. Let's say I DO do it again. How much of the mark should it be worth? 10% + bonus opportunity. It's a lot of work. Reward those kids! 10% but no bonus. The marks get too inflated with the bonus I don't know / care 5% + bonus opportunity 5% but no bonus Question Title * 3. What's your sense of cheating / lying with the ROAR idea? Question Title * 5. Which of the following statements do you agree with most? You should not offer retests / postponements. It just encourages people to procrastinate / be lazy. You should only offer 1 retest / postponement TOTAL (not one of each) for the entire year. You should offer 1 retest and one postponement (two total) for the entire year. You should do what you did last year: 1 retest OR postponement each term (three total) I don't know / care Question Title * 6. What about the requizzes I offer? Keep doing those! Love those! 100% possible on every quiz! Do them but give an AVERAGE of the original and the final mark. Don't do them! You're making it too easy Mr Wadge! I don't know. Whatever. Question Title * 7. What about homework? It should be mandatory. Everyone should have to do it for marks (or lose those marks if they don't do it) Do it like last year. Optional marks. Otherwise you get an "omit" Don't even bother marking it at all. Marks for HW should stop in about grade 9 or 10. I don't know. Stop asking all these questions. Question Title * 8. I was pretty lax with my Midterms and Finals the past two years. I'd often give you a list of questions (or even no test at all!) What do you think about this? That was really great! I appreciated the less stressful test at a very busy time (Midterms / Finals) It was OK. I would have been ok with a "regular" exam though. I dunno. I don't think it was a great idea. Gotta prepare us for university exams Mr Wadge! You are WAY too easy. Those tests were ridiculous. Toughen up man! Question Title * 9. We did a LOT of those puzzles at the start of class. How do you feel about them now? STILL LIKE them. Wish I was doing them this year again. They were pretty good. But maybe introduce some new types. Who cares.
