Mission 3 is about Indian life in the West. Students will take the role of a Cheyenne boy on the Plains in the 1870s and 80s, as his tribe copes with profound changes – the encroachment of railroads and the loss of buffalo, treaties and conflicts with white settlers, removal to reservations, and the effort to sustain Indian life and culture.
