This comprehensive educational initiative—which includes the gathering of an unprecedented volume of first-person perspectives of hundreds of men living with Multiple Sclerosis, as well as of leading MS medical and mental health experts—helps to form the basis of a new book for and about men with MS, as well as a dedicated educational web-based portal/community at www.MenWithMS.org.
Our goal is a highly personal, anecdotally rich, and honest portrait of what it feels like to be a man with MS…in our own words. By addressing some of the major areas of concern for men with MS—family and relationships; career; money; mental health/depression/emotions; spirituality; and more—the project sheds some important and refreshing light on these issues.
We're looking for your personal story and perspective, too—i.e. what having MS FEELS like to you personally. Any survey responses used will be anonymous, of course (even if you choose to provide your optional contact information at the end, just in case we have any follow-up questions). So please don’t hold back. Being open and honest will be most helpful to others who could benefit from your perspective and insight.
All survey questions are entirely OPTIONAL—feel free to skip any you do not wish to answer, or feel you have addressed in other responses. All questions are meant as open-ended “conversation starters” or prompts. If you have something to say that doesn't fit neatly into the questions, feel free to deviate or diverge. (Direct any general questions about the survey or the Project to survey@commonwealthmedia.com.)
Thank you for your valuable time and attention. Your participation is greatly appreciated.
