Michigan Green Communities (MGC) is a network of local government and university staff that collaborate with one another, through peer learning and information sharing, to promote innovative solutions and move sustainability initiatives forward at the local, regional, and state level. The network is supported by the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality, the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, the Michigan Municipal League, the Michigan Association of Counties, and the Michigan Townships Association.
MGC provides case studies, monthly webinars, action guides, an annual conference, and other resources to help communities share best practices and lessons learned. There are several ways to get involved in MGC:
